Some kids are worried or scared about getting their braces and the way they may look. Others can't wait to get them. Today, braces are less noticeable. Traditional metal braces are still used but they are not half as bad. The bracket size is typically smaller than before. You might also be interested in getting clear or tooth colored braces, also known as cosmetic brackets. They are virtually unnoticeable. It's great for not drawing too much attention to your mouth while undergoing Orthodontic treatment. They work exactly the same as traditional braces. There are even lingual braces that go on the back of your teeth where no one can see them. Another method is called Invisalign, for those who's teeth are not severely misaligned. Invisalign is a series of clear trays that are computer generated to help you straighten your teeth little by little; you would wear a different tray every 2 weeks until treatment is complete.
